Sales Policy:


Our pricing reflects quality.  At Shakey Acres we select brood stock based on breed conformation and health.  All of our brood stock have been tested free of CAE, CL and Johnes.  We perform scheduled worming with Ivomec and maintain updates on CO/T and 3 Way vacinations.  Hooves are trimmed on a regular basis.  We use quality feed and provide mineral blocks.  Our stalls and pens are cleaned regularly.  This results in high quality, healthy and robust goats.  We are proud to go the extra mile and offer only the highest quality stock to our customers.

Standard Pricing:

Standard Fainting (Myotonic) Goats:
Bucks: $400 +/-
Does: $400 +/-
Wethers: $150 +/-

Miniature Silky Fainting Goats:

Bucks: $650 +/-
Does: $600 +/-
Whethers: $200 +/-

Pricing may go up or down dependant on Conformation, Coat Color, Eye Color, Hair Length (miniature silkies) and whether goat is polled or horned.

A $50.00 non-refundable deposit is required within seven (7) days after written/verbal conformation to hold your goat(s)/kid(s). 

Price does not include veterinary health certificates, transportation, micro- chips (where necessary), additional vaccinations, or any other documents required by any governmental agency.

Registration:


We will register all of our fainting kids with the Myotonic Goat Registry (MGR) and pay associated fees.  We will register all of our Miniature Silky kids with the Miniature Silky Fainting Goat Association (MSFGA) and pay associated fees.  Transfer of the registration into the buyers' name is at the buyers' expense.  If the buyer wants kids dual or triple registered with MGR, IFGA or MSFGA that will be at the buyers expense.

Other Policies:


Disbudding/Dehorning:  We disbud all Mini Silky kids and will disbud MGR if the customer desires.  Disbuding should be done before two weeks of age

Bottle Babies:  We pride ourselves with providing healthy/quality offspring.   This is best done when the kid nurses from the doe.  Therefore we do not sell "bottle babies" unless the doe has no milk or rejects the kids.

Pets:  Our kids are handled and played with frequently. They are friendly, gentle and intelligent and are sold as PETS.  Buyers must agree to not slaughter or knowingly sell to slaughter any animals purchased from Shakey Acres Fainting Goat Farm.

Shakey Acres shall:


Provide appropriate registration papers to buyer.

Provide vaccination records upon request.

Certify that our herd has been tested and is free of CAE, Johnes, and CL (Please, to prevent the spread of disease be sure to ask if these tests have been performed by any farm you plan buy from).

Certify that goats/kids are in general good health before leaving Shakey Acres.

De-worm animals as needed while in our care.

Trim and maintain hooves of animals as needed while in our care.

Provide photos of animals as needed.

Buyer shall:


Provide humane transportation for all goat(s)/kid(s) to include proper ventilation, cover, separation (if necessary) and room for animals to stand and lay down.

Pick up goat(s)/kid(s) timely when notified that they are weaned by Shakey Acres

Pay in full any remaining balance in cash/certified check on day of pick-up or with personal check two weeks prior to date of pick-up.

Our goats are sold as pets.  Buyer shall agree not to slaughter, knowingly sell to slaughter animals purchased from Shakey Acres Fainting Goat Farm.
